You’ve made it to Day 18!
Are you taking the time to ask God for a clean heart, continual filling of the Holy Spirit, and strength to put on the Whole Armor of God every day? I genuinely hope so. Today, you are going to take your faith to the next level by emphasizing the importance of God’s Word.
As sin increased on the earth, the days of man were shortened according to the Bible. So it’s possible to die before the appointed time. Pray that you don’t die before appointed time because of wickedness.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that “All Scriptures are breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and training in righteousness that the man of God may be competent equipped for every good work.” So hearing God’s word is a gift, and your response to God’s word can either be wise or foolish. In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus emphasizes the importance of reading God’s Word, listening to the Holy Spirit and actively obeying God's instructions.
Today’s Prayer:
God, Jehovah Shammah. You are here with me. I’m so glad because I haven’t always done things that have welcome your presence. However, I’m delighted that I am doing what is necessary for your presence to be honored in my heart. I’m so thankful that You sent Your son Jesus to save me and provide me access to You - the Lord of Lord and King of Kings and ruler of heaven and earth. That’s a fantastic illustration of love. Lord, I’m asking You to give me today an open heart to hear Your instructions and give me the wisdom to apply it, the knowledge to know it, and the strength to do what it says. Forgive me for disobedience and hardening my heart and refusing to listen to Your Truth, because it hurt and didn’t agreewith my selfish desires. Please, Lord, help me to desire Your will for my life and not my own will. Keep me from temptation and evil. You are all-powerful and amazing. God, I truly appreciate your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
